Register for Classes

During your first few days in Orlando, you will be very busy getting settled. Please follow the enrollment steps we have outlined for you below in order to get registered for classes.

Complete Check In

Once you arrive, please visit the myISS portal and complete the new student check list. If you need assistance, please email us at iss@valenciacollege.edu

Attend Orientation

Admitted students are required to complete the online new student orientation. You can access the orientation through a link provided in your acceptance email. You must set up your Valencia College Atlas account first since you will use the same login credentials. Be careful to select "International Student (F-1, F-2, J-1 visa types)" on the first page. Every section must be completed with a checkmark to move on. The orientation will expose you to available college services, registration and payment procedures, and information on how to maintain your student status.

Complete all sections to meet this requirement. An ISS adviser will then reach out to you with your recommended first term class schedule and options to attend a group advising session where you can register for class.

Purchase Health Insurance

All international students are required to purchase health insurance coverage through Valencia College. The current provider is Aetna Insurance Company. The health insurance fees can be paid through the myISS portal. Students can generally pay for the full academic year or divide the cost into two payments (Fall and Spring/Summer). Insurance will need to be purchased before being allowed to register for classes in an upcoming semester.

Pay tuition and fees

Valencia College works with a third party Flywire an international payment portal to pay tuition and fees from another country. This portal provides international students and their families with a safe, cost effective, and convenient method of making payments to Valencia College In foreign currencies. This portal allows you to save on bank fees and exchange rates, track your payment online from start to delivery to VC, and have access to 24/7 multilingual customer support. Click here to follow instructions for this payment method.

Valencia College also accepts cash, check, money order or Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express credit cards for tuition and fee payments. Course payments are due after registration to the Business Office by the college payment deadlines.

Already Studying in the U.S.?

International students currently attending a U.S. school can have their I-20 records transferred to Valencia College and only need to apply for a new visa if traveling outside of the U.S. with an expired F-1 visa.
