Transportation

Between year-round heat and spread-out shops and centers, Orlando is not the most walkable city. Even if you live close enough to campus to walk or ride your bike, you will likely need to rely on other modes of transportation to get around town. All of Valencia College’s seven campuses are near main roadways and bus routes, and the Winter Park Campus is near a commuter train station.

As part of a partnership with LYNX, Valencia College students and employees can ride the LYNX bus system for free. Learn More

Driving by car is by far the quickest way to get around the Orlando area. If you do plan on driving, be sure to familiarize yourself with the Florida Driver's Handbook. Also, if you are in the U.S. longer than 90 days, you will need to obtain a Florida driver’s license from the Department of Motor Vehicles.
