Scholarships

Proof of Finances

Degree-seeking international applicants must prove that they have adequate finances to fund their studies. Applicants must submit show proof of finances, along with supporting documentation, prior to the issuance of Form I-20 at the time of the application or via post submission form through the application portal.

Amount:

Financial documents must total $25,573 for Associate Degrees or $26,461 for Bachelor Degrees. Additional family members, such as a spouse and/or child, will require certification of additional funds in the amount of $4,500 per person.

Sources of Funding:

Funds can come from a family/sponsor, government or personal account with funds immediately accessible.

Supporting Documentation:

Valid documents to prove funds must be in English or with a certified English translation, be less than one year from the start of classes, and specifically state the total amount of money available to the student. Valid documents may include: 

  • Current bank statement, bank reference letter, or bank certificate in the student's name. (i.e. checking or savings account, certificate of deposit, etc.).
  • Current bank statement, bank reference letter, or bank certificate and a digitally signed sponsor acknowledgment from the account holder. Can have up to 3 sponsors.
  • Current scholarship letter from sponsoring agency, organization, or government.
  • Official and current letter verifying educational load awarded to the student.
Paying for Classes

Valencia College offers an international payment portal through a third party Flywire to pay tuition and fees from another country. This portal provides international students and their families with a safe, cost effective, and convenient method of making payments to Valencia College in foreign currencies. See international payment instructions click here. Valencia College also accepts cash, money order, checks, American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. Students are expected to pay for tuition and fees at the beginning of each term by the payment deadline. Fees can be paid in person at the Business Office or online through Atlas.


Tuition Installment Plan

International students also have an option to pay for courses through the Tuition Installment Plan (TIP). The TIP plan allows students to pay for tuition and book expenses over a period of time rather than one single full payment during the first few weeks of school.
